RBL ADV RO Info

RBL ADVANCED ROCK OUT INFO

Advanced Rock Out (ADV RO) is the next step after Rock Out for rockers 9+ years old who are serious about learning an instrument, dedicated to being in a band and creating with others. ADV RO band members are selected by RBL staff in the spring and summer for the bands to begin in the fall and remain intact for a minimum of 1 school year. ADV RO is the required step before a RBL rocker can be considered for a RBL Supergroup.

Weekly Notes / Projects:

  1. Rockers should be practicing their bands’ songs.

  2. Rockers should be focusing on their weak points within each song as well as the changes.

  3. Rockers should also be practicing their parts without the scratch track and along to a metronome. You can easily get a free metronome app (I use Tempo) and the rockers can “tap” along on the tap function to determine the correct bpm (beats per minute). When they complain, “the metronome is broken,” you will know they definitely need work with their timing.
